Since Danielle Steel is such a popular author who’s been around forever and has such a large, devoted following, I listen to her audiobooks for research purposes. (She’s doing something right to acquire such success in a market that’s so competitive.)

The Ranch is the tale of three college roommates reuniting after years of separation and discovering the difficulties plaguing each woman’s life.

As I find is the case with most of Steel’s books, The Ranch was a difficult listen. As much as I’m not a fan of Steel’s writing, I will continue to listen to her audiobooks for the simple reason that I’m in awe of her success. 

Danielle Steel clearly knows her audience and knows well how to write explicitly for them.
