If you’re a hopeless romantic, it’s hard to turn away from a Nicholas Sparks book, and The Last Song is no exception. I’ve read this book a couple of times and shed as many tears with each read.
The Last Song has everything most of us in our teen years grapple with: youthful rebellion, anger, and resentment toward our parents. The characters are as imperfect as we are. To the romantic reader, it offers everything we expected of a love story: love, loss, heartache, and the eventual recognition of a parent’s unconditional love for their children.
Make sure to have a box of tissue with you when you sit down to read the book.
