It’s fifty-five years in the making, but I’ve done it. I’ve put out my fourth novel, and I have you to thank you for supporting my dream.
I wanted to pursue writing in my teens but was discouraged by my English teacher in the ninth grade. English was my second language, and maybe he was right. But there’s also the possibility he wasn’t. Regardless, discouraging a young, vulnerable mind from pursuing their interests baffles me.
You can’t succeed unless you try, and failing is what builds character and allows growth. Looking back, I’d have preferred to have tried and failed than not tried at all.
Becoming the next Nora Roberts or Danielle Steele isn’t my goal. My aim is to give my longtime dream a go. Now I have, and I have to thank those of you who’ve encouraged and supported me through this journey. So, thank you! Thank you, thank you.
