M.L. Lexi’s Good Reads (or Listening)

The Last Song

If you’re a hopeless romantic it’s always hard to turn away from a Nicholas Sparks book, and The Last Song was no exception. I’ve read this book a couple of times and shed as many tears with each read.

This book has everything most of us in our teen years grapple with: youthful rebellion, anger, and resentment toward their parents because we know it all, and the bad choices we make to prove them wrong. The characters are as imperfect as we are in real life. It has love, loss, and heartache, and the eventual recognition of a parent’s unconditional love for their children.

Make sure to have a box of tissue with you when you read this book.
