Yes, writing can be emotionally draining. When writing a love, a death, or a personal discovery passage—to mention a few—emotions can become raw.
There have been times when the tears flow the entire time I write a passage or paragraphs, and that’s a good thing. By using those emotions that come to the surface it helps me stay authentic.
Writing as with reading should draw equal amount of emotions. It should move you to tears, instill anger, or teach a life lesson or… The ors are endless.
